Yups~Because people LOVE to be hypocritical and biased...
Anyway: People keep on Saying that ArchieSonic is approved of by SEGA and therefore canon; but THEN they turn around and say that Sonic X was NOT approved of by SEGA nor canon.
Well, I'm here to burst your lil bubble
The truth is: Sonic X may even be MORE "approved of" and canon than Archie is still.
Sonic X was a project anime that was DIRECTLY created by SEGA and Sonic Team, and I mean the BIG Sonic Team members were directly involved!
The Series Executive Producer was in fact Yuji Naka partnering with Norman Grossfeld.
They also had: Takashi Iizuka and Yuji Uekawa.
And these guys were DIRECTLY involved.
To say that Sonic X is approved by SEGA isn't even ENOUGH: it was MADE by SEGA.
And this is compared to WHAT tie exactly Archie has with SEGA or Sonic team?
"Cindy Chau and Jerry Chu at SEGA Licensing"
So, next time somebody tries telling you that "Oh Sonic X isn't canon!"
Please point them to this.
becasue is SONIC X isn't canon, everything else CERTAINLY isn't.

I'm tried of people blabbering on when they don't know what they're talking about...
Sonic X is about as canon as you can GET in this franchise: it was DIRECTLY made by SEGA company.
It's CERTAINLY more canon than Archie is ;|
but of course, this is going by the logic of the people making the argument.
In reality though, what's really CANON is what happens in the continuity, and to be honest so far only the games by SEGA fit into this category.

My question is, if Sonic X is canon? How come none of the games make callbacks to characters like Chris or Cosmo?
And no, the potted plant in tails' windowsill in Sonic Chronicles doesn't count for 2 reasons, 1 it was made by Bioware not Sonic Team, and 2 pretty sure Chronicles was retconned from the canon after the whole "Penders Vs. Archie" debacle over the echidnas.
All I have to say is, Archie-Sonic and Sonic X are canon....to themselves
While neither of them are canon to the games they are canon to themselves.
They're all parallel universes. All the cartoons, manga, anime, comics, novels, movies, etc. Are all separate canons.
And I love Sonic X and Archie-Sonic almost equally(I'd like Sonic X a bit more if there was a proper uncut english dub by someone like Funimation or Aniplex where none of 4Kids dumb edits are in) and I don't mind that either of them are canon to the main series of games, cuz if they were the games canon would be a bigger inconsistent mess than it already is.
